DIY APPLICATION GUIDE
Color Seal Application Process for Homogeneous, Porcelain and Ceramic Tiles
Section Title
Recommended Steps for Polished Tiles
-
Preparation:
-
Ensure all areas for grout sealing are dry and clean before application.
-
It is recommended to use our Tiles & Grout Cleaner to clean the existing grout using a melamine sponge or brush to remove any grease or cleaning chemicals.
-
Wipe down the cleaned area with clean water after cleaning.
-
-
Color Seal Application:
-
Shake the Color Seal bottle well before use.
-
Attach the Yorker tip to the bottle and use a toothpick or nail to poke a hole in the Yorker tip.
-
After each use, replace the red Yorker tip cap and store the bottle in a cool place (avoid freezing and direct sunlight). The shelf life of the product is approximately 2 years.
-
-
Applying the Color Seal:
-
Apply Grout Shield Color Seal thinly over the grout lines.
-
Use a small watercolor paint brush to spread the Color Seal evenly on the grout lines.
-
Use a damp cloth to clean away any excess Color Seal along the sides of the grout lines. Alternatively, you can clean up the excess Color Seal after it dries (about 5 minutes after application).
-
It is recommended to apply Color Seal in small sections at a time to allow enough time for cleaning up any excess sealer.
-
-
Curing:
-
Once the application process is complete, allow the Color Seal to cure for 18 hours.
-
Avoid wet cleaning or walking on the grout lines during this curing period.
